Which star players could the Utah Jazz realistically trade for?
When Utah Jazz general manager Justin Zanik was discussing in February why he traded two starters and two rotation players for what he hopes will be a lottery pick from the Lakers in 2027 (but which could become just a second-rounder), he referenced the Phoenix Suns' then-recent acquisition of superstar forward Kevin Durant as part of the explanation. Owing to that Lakers deal, plus the trades that sent Royce O'Neale to the Nets, then Rudy Gobert to the Timberwolves, and Donovan Mitchell to the Cavaliers, the Jazz have a haul of future draft picks in their back pocket.

He spent the last two years coaching 7th graders in Park City. Now he's ready for the pros.
Since being unceremoniously fired by Marquette University following the 2021 season, Steve Wojciechowski's self-proclaimed “basketball journey” turned a bit eclectic. “I spent two years out of it, if you don't count the seventh- and eighth-grade teams I coached in Park City,” he said Wednesday morning. Wojciechowski's newest gig, though, will be slightly higher-profile than leading the Miners' minors. Wojciechowski replaces Scott Morrison, who is being promoted to an assistant coaching job on Will Hardy's staff with the Jazz.

Taylor Hendricks will be doing a pre-draft workout with the Utah Jazz soon
According to Taylor Hendricks, he has a workout lined up with the Utah Jazz along with the Detroit Pistons, Dallas Mavericks, and Oklahoma City Thunder. Hendricks, who was shown in an Indiana Pacers social media video, looked every bit the lottery prospect he's projected to be with his size, athleticism, and shooting. The question for the Jazz is, will they want Hendricks if he's there at 9, and is he someone they want to build around for the future? For those who haven't followed, Hendricks was a revelation for UCF and showed an elite 3pt stroke with impressive defensive chops.

Merriam-Webster defines it primarily as “one who has great influence,” and as “the power or capacity of causing an effect in indirect or intangible ways.” This is a subjective effort, one that first began with former Tribune stalwarts Lya Wodraska and Kurt Kragthorpe. What this Utah coach has accomplished in 2023 is remarkable, having led her softball team to new heights. One of the United States' most successful and highly-acclaimed and famous Olympic skiers, Vonn has garnered much attention for all kinds of reasons through her competitive career, which ended a few years back.

There's also been analysis of some of the presumed choices at No. 16, plus a first attempt at a full, 30-pick, first-round mock draft. Now it's time to take a look at some of the players under consideration for the Jazz's third pick, which comes in at No. 28. The 6-foot-6 Frenchman (with a 6-10 wingspan) is a proven menace as an on-ball defender, and is great in a team construct, too, especially with weakside blocks.

Could the Utah Jazz be a landing spot for a former No. 1 pick?
Jazz fans are rightly intrigued about how differently this team might look by the end of this offseason. No less than Justin Zanik noted that there could be a lot of change coming this offseason. created some hypothetical odds on where embattled Suns big man DeAndre Ayton will be playing next season — and the Jazz are third on that list at +600. My initial reaction was that this made zero sense: Ayton is a center, and the Jazz are already pretty committed to some guy named Walker Kessler who happens to play the same position and was just named to the All-Rookie First Team.

Three of the top four draft picks could be on the move
As the June 22 NBA draft continues to near, it’s clear that the only sure thing is that Victor Wembanyama will go No. 1 overall to the San Antonio Spurs. Outside of that singular fact, there are a lot of things that could change on draft night and any one of those things could have ripple effect on the rest of the NBA. Since we know that the only sure thing is the Spurs sticking with the top pick, that means that the second, third and fourth picks could be up for grabs.
